Why rant on Marapets so much? There’s a whole lotta other pet sites that are much crappier than Mara. How much originality can you really get for petsites? You make money, you raise pets, stat them, costume them, ect., ect., ect. Thgen there’s some chatting, trading, and selling. They’re all based onto one plot: make your pets the best. Marapets has gotton a lot better since when I joined, and Neopets seemed to be making their petsite too kiddy and forming more into it’s merchandise than the site.

I found the whole “tea party/teabagging” thing amusing, in a slightly nauseating fashion. Co-opting an historical event, fine, but at best it’s disingenuous (NOW you’re upset about tax increases and the generally shitty state of the economy? Not, say, six months ago? Oh right, that’s because YOUR guy isn’t in the White House anymore) and at worst it’s hilariously out of touch with modern usages (teabagging. nuff said).

Jingoism. Gotta ~~love~~ loathe it.

I play both… and Marapets is okay, but it definitely ripped off Neopets. And I can say I was frozen on Neopets before, but it was because of my own wrong-doing. I deserved to be frozen. Yes, I lost everything I had, but I was breaking the rules. When TNT froze me, I was upset, but they were doing their job.
Neopets is better than Marapets, plain and simple. And to whoever said TNT freezes people for no reason, that’s not true. They froze me once, but I started over with a clean slate, and nothing has happened. I’ve been on with my new account for over 5 years. And I have been reported by people who didn’t like me. But neo didn’t freeze me. That’s because they investigate before they freeze. Anyone who says they got frozen for no reason is a liar. There was a reason. They broke the rules. End of story.
But like I was saying, Marapets definitely copied Neopets in so many ways. And there is no way it is the number 1 virtual pets site… Neo is the original. It will always be better. End of story.

hey u know i play both i think neo is bit compilicated and and freezes a lot and mara is good and does not freexze and i think the staff in mara work their 100% to get right but in the other hand i havent got a clue wat they do in neo all the shop display stuff virsuses in some of the shops and when it freezes it freezes the whole computer which is dead anoying but i thgink for a starter marapets is absloutley amazingf because they branched of neopets as a fan site called maraqua thats why they name marapets probably and also ian and laimay the creators of marapets should have put a 100% to make marapets the no1 virtuyal pet game just from scratch and i do agree its a bit silly that when u type neopets in marapets it comes as from out of space and if u type marapets in neopets it comes up as blocked but enimies do what they can humilate their oponenets and in the other other hand we have this total waste of time zetapets what ever they do i think they need to do it 100% more cause its going a million percent down its crap u have to see it

Marapets… TOTALLY COPIED NEOPETS!!! >=o All the Neopet haters seem like they’re all one person, they always say that they got frozen for no reason and that the neopets people are mean! Well, you know you can talk to the neopets people and try to unfreeze your account, that’s what I did. I don’t play neopets or marapets much, but I can tell that they TOTALLY copied neopets! And they could have at least copied and made it better, but noooooo! They made neopets “kau” into a “daisy”, which is a crappy drawn bull with a ring in its nose, and there are like, goblins 0_o… I wouldn’t have cared much if they were another of the hundreds of virtual pet sites, but I am totally disappointed that they copied neopets so darn much. And it would help if they hired a better artist and invented better names for the pets…

I can’t believe there are so many Maris out there! I’m half-Japanese so my real name is Mariko but I’ve been called Mari for short my whole life. When people can’t pronounce my name I tell them it’s like, “Mario” from Super Mario Brothers except I’m not a boy so take off the “o.”
