We reached our Final Milestone, so all 3 Calendars have been unlocked and are being raffled, as are the special NASA items. THE DETAILS

On September 23, I will be walking in the AIDS Walk Portland – a 2.5 mile walk through downtown Portland to support The Cascade AIDS Project and their work. By taking part in the walk, I am helping to raise funds to prevent HIV infections, support and empower people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS, and eliminate HIV/AIDS-related stigma.

In an effort to maximize my fundraising, I am raffling off part of my Elfquest Collection – specifically, I am raffling off Calendars. New in package (not mint because there is very minor corner damage)

$5 per raffle entry, 1 special entry plus 5 regular entries for every $25 you donate – Special raffle details at the end.

I currently have 2 projects on my mind… I’ll post about the other one later, maybe, but for now, you all get to see what happens when I get an idea and someone inspires me to make it a reality…

In my last entry, I mentioned that Jenn, Lyse and I came up with an idea to put stickers on kids when they are left alone by their parents in public places like toy stores or the mall… My friend Kaci saw it and posted a quick and dirty example on MySpace for me and I loved it!!

So, of course, I had to develop a full version of the damned thing and I spent about 30 minutes at work messing around on Photoshop to make the following sticker:

What do you all think? We don’t have to get them professionally printed cause I can print them in hi-res color on sticker stock that I have left over from the wedding…

So Doug sent me the link to this website called PostSecret which is a community art project where you make a postcard with your secret on it and mail it to this person in Maryland and they post it to this site… This one just made me laugh and laugh and laugh… but then I wonder if the person is psychotic and dangerous and that is scary…

I am about halfway done with my gallery update… I added new albums in the Travels Album including an album for Seattle (which includes photos from the Barenaked Ladies Concert in Auburn, WA – as well as photos from my trip to the Seattle Aquarium), Las Vegas (Which has albums for Star Trek and Shark Reef) and I added an album for the Oregon Zoo…

Doug and I signed the papers today and gave the guy a buttload of money and on June 1st, we can start moving into our new house!!!!!!

We have a lot of packing and cleaning to do, but it is going to be SO worth it! No more crappy neighbors!! No more crappy parking! No more crappy neighborhood! I am sure the new place will have it’s own set of issues, but for now it is looking awesome and Doug and I are so happy to be moving
